Tylyike Akiel Pigford

Mr. Tykyike Akiel Pigford, age 24, of 709 Academy Street, Wilson passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020.  He was affectionately known by family and friends as "Ty".  Funeral service will be held Monday, August 3, 2020 at 1 pm in the Robert King, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Carrons Funeral Home, 726 South Tarboro Street, Wilson.  Dr. Robert Williams will officiate.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

He leaves behind to cherish loving and lasting memories his mother, Dawn Cox; his father, Rodney Pigford (Kimberly); maternal grandparents, Florine and David Lucas of the home; one sister, Tamara Lawrence of  Greensboro, NC; four brothers, Antonio Felder of Queens, NY, Ta’Darian Cox, Jamar Smith both of Wilson, NC and Rodney Pigford, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; his great grandmother, Mildred Cox of Brooklyn, NY; his grandmother, Carsheina Cox of Queens, NY; grandfather, Wayne Cox of Brooklyn, NY; three aunts, Samantha Cox of Brooklyn, NY, Chinita Pigford of Atlanta, GA and Cora Cox of Queens, NY; one uncle, Marques Cox of Queens, NY; his godfather, William “Zip” Baines; a godson, Elyte Johnson; a special aunt, Mary Alice Williams; his immediate cousins, Rayne Moore and Wealth Pigford; a host of other relatives and friends, including his special friends, Eric Johnson, Yasmin Curtis and Jimmie Clemmons.

A public viewing will be held Sunday, August 2, 2020 from 3 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home.  The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 12 noon on Monday in preparation for the funeral procession.  Condolences may be directed to carronsfuneralhome.com or faxed to 252.237.0120.  They may also be emailed to carronsfuneralhome@gmail.com.
