Ms. Sherry Diane Barnes, age 64, of 1124 Pitt Street, Rocky Mount was called to eternal rest on Monday, May 18, 2020.  A private funeral service and viewing will be held.  

Loving and lasting memories are cherished by her son, James Terrance Batts and his fiancé, Shante Davis; her daughter, April Vermere Barnes of Rocky Mount, NC; her mother, Mildred Inez Barnes of Rocky Mount, NC; one sister, Vivian Pryam ( Lincoln) of Brooklyn, NY; her fiancé, Rudoloph Joyner of Rocky Mount, NC; one brother, Kevin Barnes of Highland Falls, NY; her granddaughter, Janiyah Batts of Rocky Mount, NC; four aunts, Ruby Barnes of Wilson, NC, Barbara Hunter (James) of Wake Forest, NC, Joyce Parker (Paul) of Rocky Mount, NC and Mary Pendergrass (Leroy) of Sharpsburg, NC;  two uncles, James Barnes (Minnie) and Leroy Barnes of Wilson, NC; five great aunts, Luvenia Parker, Christine Parker of Rocky Mount, NC, Gladys Hilliard of Sharpsburg, NC and Flossie Parker (Jesse) of Whitsett, NC; nieces, nephews and a host of relatives, friends and co-workers.
