Roscoe Woodard, Jr.

Roscoe Woodard, Jr., age 68 of 3108 Westshire Dr., Wilson was called to eternal rest on Monday, August 7, 2017.  
A celebration of his life and work will be held 2 pm Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Contending for the Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy St, Wilson.  Elder Dameion Royal will deliver the eulogy, and Bishop Willie Thomas will preside.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Loving and lasting memories are cherished by his wife, Cynthia Hilliard-Woodard of the home; two daughters, Jamie Woodard of Raleigh, NC and LaToya B. Murray (Justin) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; one son, Shelton M. Hilliard (Nicole) of Wilson, NC; his father, Roscoe Woodard, Sr. of Wilson, NC; three sisters, Mary W. Evans (Willie), Peggy Ann Woodard and Patricia W. Joseph all of Wilson, NC; one brother, Leroy Woodard (Betty) of Winterville, NC; four grandchildren, ShiDoris Williams, Taliyah Hilliard, Tijah Davis Hilliard and Justin Alexander Murray, II; two maternal aunts, Alice Bobbitt and Inez Watson; four paternal aunts, Annie Doris Davis of Fremont, NC, Marjorie Horne of Stantonsburg, NC, Adlona Anderson and Mary W. Coley of Wilson, NC; four paternal uncles, Roosevelt Woodard of Baltimore, MD, Brody Williams of Goldsboro, NC, Donald Woodard and Andrew Woodard of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there at 1 pm on Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.
