Ronald Earl Tyson

February 6, 1967 — April 15, 2021

Mr. Ronald Earl "Tony Bug" Tyson, age 54, of 800 Park Ave., Apt. B, Wilson passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Funeral service will be Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 1 pm at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle, 1800 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson. Pastor Michael Tyson will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. 

Ronald Earl "Tony Bug" Tyson, son of James David Barnes and the late Dorothy Tyson Barnes, was born on February 6, 1967 in Wilson County, NC.  He departed this earthly life on April 15, 2021.  He was reared in a loving home with three siblings by his parents and was taught to love God and everybody.  

He leaves to cherish memories his father, James "JD" Barnes of the home; his loving sister, Shelia Tyson Williams of Raleigh, NC and her children; Travoris Tyson of Charlotte, NC and Shaquita Williams of Raleigh, NC;  his loving brothers, Bobby R. Tyson (Colavito) of Wilson, NC and his children;  Sheri Tyson Horne (Chris), Ashley Tyson Thomas (Tuk) of Wilson, NC and Jasmine Morgan of Greenville, NC; Michael L. Tyson, Sr. (Vanessa) of Wichita, KS and their children, Minister Michael L. Tyson, Jr. (Felicia) of Winston Salem, NC and Ashauntike’ L. Williams (Johnathan) of Chicago, IL.

Related siblings through the late Rufus L. Edmundson, biological father:  Tommie Edmundson (Teresa) of Washington State, Rufus Edmundson (Lilly) of Tennessee, Willie Edmundson (Pakita) of Illinois, Kenneth Edmundson (Debra) of Virginia, Gloria Washington of Georgia, Derrick Edmundson, Shirley Alston, Sadie Davis (Ernest), and Deborah Brown (Luther) all of North Carolina; deceased related-siblings,  Sandra Johnson, Ronald Edmundson

Great aunt,  Josephine Tyson;  Aunts,  Montee S. Baker of Hyattsville, MD; Oneida Jenkins and Gloria Pender (Archie) and Shelia Webb all of Wilson, NC; Shelia Speight and Eula Taylor (Reverend Roosevelt Taylor) of Baltimore, MD; Uncles,  Jimmie Webb and Levi Webb all of Wilson, NC, Robert Barnes of Washington, DC; and uncle-relation / cousin Ozzie Jones of Wilson, NC;  a devoted special cousin whom he called “auntie” Minister Otisteen Brunson and a host of great nieces and nephews, friends, cousins, church family and classmates.   

A public viewing will be Saturday, April 24 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home, 726 South Tarboro St., Wilson. The family is receiving friends at 406 Belmont Avenue, Wilson and will assemble there at 12 noon on Sunday in preparation for the funeral procession.
