She was a child of fear, until she threw her troubles away. Cared for by hope and compassion, blessed by God, and loved by her community. Lady Hope has outrun the cause of death…Leaving room in “her casket” only for fears.

She hasn’t left anyone behind, because she is a survivor herself. A celebration honoring our Lady Hope will be Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Jackson Chapel First Missionary Baptist Church, 571 Nash St. SE, Wilson, North Carolina.

A public visitation will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Ferrell Supply Market, 5337 Scott Church Rd., Lucama, North Carolina. There you will be able to purchase a rose and be entered in to a drawing for a gift basket for $5. All proceeds will be donated to the Patricia Lucas Simmons Foundation.
