Minister Willistine Battle Cooper

June 25, 1952 — May 10, 2020

Minister Willistine Battle Cooper, age 67, of 2209-D Candlewood Drive, Wilson transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, May 10, 2020.  A private funeral service for family will be held.

She leaves much love and great memories to her husband of forty-six years, James A. Cooper of the home; her brothers and sisters, Dennis Battle (Joyce) of Wilson, NC, James Battle (Beverly) of Kenly, NC, Willie Battle (Pam) of Wilson, NC, Angela Curry of Bailey, NC and Vivian Brooks (Kelvin) of Wilson, NC; three aunts, Lois Washington and Dorothy Tabron of Bailey, NC and Helen Lucas of Sims, NC; four uncles, Joe Lucas of Sims, NC, Johnny Lucas and Harold Lucas of Sims, NC and Ned Harris “Uncle Pete” of Wilson, NC; a sister-in-law, Rachel Roundtree of Elm City, NC; her two great friends, Dorothy Williams and Peggy Arrington; a godson whom she loved dearly, Arthur Deans; a niece whom she loved as if she were her own daughter, Latoya “DeeDee” Deans; a nephew-in-law, Chris Beasley who held a special place in her heart; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   

A public viewing will be Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home 726 South Tarboro St., Wilson.  Please remember the Cooper family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.  Condolences may be directed to carronsfuneralhome.com or faxed to 252.237.0120.  They may also be emailed to carronsfuneralhome@gmail.com.
