Mildred Inez Barnes

Ms. Mildred Inez Barnes, age 83, of Rocky Mount transitioned from labor to reward on Saturday, October 3, 2020.  Celebration of life service will be held 12 noon Saturday, October 10, 2020 in the Robert King, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Carrons Funeral Home. The Rev. Jimmy Parker will be the eulogist. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.  

She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Vivian Pryam (Lincoln) of Brooklyn, NY; one son, Kevin Barnes of Highland Falls, NY; three sisters, Barbara Hunter (James) of Wake Forest, NC, Joyce Parker (Paul) of Rocky Mount, NC, and Mary Pendergrass (Leroy) of Sharpsburg, NC; five stepsisters, Juanita Anderson of Sharpsburg, NC, Bernice Davis (Lonnie), Annette Dawson (Norman) and Angela Johnson all of Rocky Mount, NC; four aunts, Gladys Hilliard of Sharpsburg, NC, Luvenia Parker, Christine Parker of Rocky Mount, NC and Flossie Parker (Jesse) of Whitsett, NC; three sisters-in-law, Ruby Barnes of Wilson, NC, Lucille Batts of Queens, NY and Jean Batts of Elm City, NC, five brothers-in-laws, Elder James Barnes (Minnie) of Stantonsburg, NC, Leroy Barnes of Wilson, NC, James Hunter (Barbara) of Wake Forest, NC, Paul Parker (Joyce) of Rocky Mount, NC and Leroy Pendergrass (Mary) of Sharpsburg, NC; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and one special cousin, Rev. Jimmy Parker.
