Lola Artis

Ms. Lola Artis, age 66, of 5041 Artis Road, Lucama was called to her eternal rest on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.  Funeral service will be Monday, April 26, 2021 at 1 pm at Contending for the Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy Street, Wilson. Apostle Elijah Forte will be the eulogist. Interment will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden.

She leaves many to cherish her memories one daughter, Carol Artis Johnson (Charles) of Wilson, NC; her son, Apostle  Stanley Arts of Wilson NC; eight grandchildren, Quonesha Hinnant, Zaria Artis, Justin Artis, Kiana Johnson, Chris Artis, Nyla Artis, Makayla Johnson, and Xavier Artis; one great-grandson, Carter Freeman; three brothers, Pastor C.L. Artist (Barbara) of Wilson NC, Charles Hodge (Sue) and Clarence Hodge both of Lucama, NC; one sister, Linda Ward (George) of Wilson, NC; two aunts, Bernice Jones and Madgeline Taylor of Lucama, NC; one uncle, Arthur Lee Artis of Wilson, NC; several special nieces and nephews, Cherilene, Marry Ann, Lutrina, Latoga and Khadijah, Leon, Keith, Calvin and Kadeem; one god-brother, Dennis Artis of Wilson NC; special friends, Brenda Quatlevaume, Helen Jackson and Gray Cooper and the Lewis family; a host of many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom she loved dearly.

A public viewing will be Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 3 pm to 7:30 pm at Carrons Funeral Home, 726 South Tarboro Street, Wilson with the family receiving friends there for an inspirational wake from 6 pm to 7 pm.  The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 12 noon on Monday in preparation for the funeral procession.  Condolences may be directed to carronsfuneralhome.com or faxed to 252.237.0120.  They may also be emailed to carronsfuneralhome@gmail.com.
