Mrs. Joyce Ann Atkinson Merritt, age 75, of 424 Garner Street W, Wilson, North Carolina transitioned to eternal rest on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 2 pm at Carrons Funeral Home Robert King, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 726 S. Tarboro St., Wilson NC. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes., Wilson, NC.

A public viewing will be Friday, July 17, 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home, 726 S. Tarboro St., Wilson, NC.  The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 1 pm in preparation for the funeral procession.  Please keep the Merritt Family in your thoughts and prayers.
