Janice M. Chatman

Mrs. Janice M. Chatman, age 87, of Wilson, NC passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 3:30 pm at the Robert King, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Carrons Funeral Home 726 S. Tarboro St., Wilson.  Interment will be private for the family.

Mrs. Chatman was born March 21, 1935 in Lucama, NC to Mr. Wallace Mack and Mrs. Ovenia Dew Mack.  She resided in Wilson, NC with her husband of sixty-eight years, Joseph Chatman.  On August 14, 2022 surrounded by her family, she transitioned to eternal life.  A teacher of life and experiences, Mrs. Chatman passed those lessons, experiences and victories to her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends.  She spent her later days talking about the goodness of God.  A lover of people, she served her family, neighbors, strangers, the community and anyone who needed food and a place to live.  

Loving memories are forever cherished by her children, Lisa Chaplin, Evonne Woods and Gregg Chatman (Cherese); her grandchildren, Dawnta Mobley, Collin Chaplin, Patrick Chaplin, Teaven Ruffin, Regina Chatman and Cheryl Jones; several great grandchildren, an adopted daughter, Mary Davisson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
