James Columbus Taylor

Mr. James Columbus Taylor, age 81, of 2223 Imperial Avenue, Wilson was called from labor to reward on Monday, February 19, 2018.  He was the son of the late Katie Gertrude Taylor.  James joined the United States Army where he served our country faithfully for several years.

A service of triumph will be held 3:30 pm Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Carrons Funeral Home, 325 East Nash Street, Wilson.  The Rev. Dr. Dorothy Brunson will deliver the eulogy, and Rev. Darrick Barnes will preside. 

Precious memories are cherished by his daughters, Viola Taylor Tomlin (Calvin) and Terri Simpson of Wilmington, DE; his sons, Victor James Joyner, Sr. (Marjorie) of Wilson, Kirk Simpson and James Taylor, Jr. both of Wilmington, DE; a host of grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Temeka Joyner of Wilson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will assemble at Carrons Funeral Home at 2:45 pm on Saturday in preparation for the funeral service.
