James Stanley Exum

Mr. James Stanley Exum, age 68, of 6843 US Hwy 301 N. Kenly, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021.  A celebration of his life and legacy wll be Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11 am at Alpha & Omega Christian Center, 1210 Clingman St., Goldsboro. Apostle Frank M. Dawson will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.   

James was born June 8,1953, to Walter J. Exum and Irene Hinnant Exum in Wilson County near Kenly, NC.  He was preceded in death by his father, Walter; his mother, Irene; and two brothers, James Walter Exum (infant) and Donnell Exum, Sr.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Brenda Ford Exum of the home; his daughter, Kayzandra Exum Bond (Curtis) of Wilson, NC; his son, James Clinton Ford Exum of Kenly, NC; three siblings, Velma Hinnant (Hobbie) of Selma, NC, Waddell Exum (Marcia) of Washington, D.C., and Brendia Wilder of Dudley, NC; two aunts, Bettie H. Tonic of Washington, D.C. and Elizabeth Hinnant of Greenville, S.C.; sisters-in-law Mona
Exum of Wilson, N.C. and Alice Owens (James) of Jersey City, N.J.; seven nieces, four nephews, several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. 

A public viewing will be held Friday, October 8, 2021 from 3 pm to 6 pm at Carrons Funeral Home 726 S. Tarboro St., Wilson. The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 9:30 am in preparation for the funeral procession.
