James Hazel Butler, III

Mr. James "Peanut" Butler, III, age 34, of 1705 Kent Dr., Apt. B, Wilson passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021.  Funeral service will be held Sunday, June 20, 2021 at 2 pm at Wilson Chapel Free Baptist Church 513 East Barnes St., Wilson.  Pastor Lecarston Chestnut will officiate.  Interment will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden.

Peanut leaves to cherish his memory eight children, Shamya Johnson of Pooler, GA (Precious), Kobe Barnes (Tabertha), KeiNila Butler (LaQuorsha), Jayla Spells, Amarion Spells, Jordan Spells (Aquilla), Semaj Butler (LaShara), and Destin Butler (Brytni) of Wilson, NC; his mother, Loretta Jenkins; a father-figure, Kenneth Ashley; one sister, Chanelle Robinson (Marlon) of Maryland; one brother, Drako Butler of Wilson, NC; two aunts, Dorothea Snow of Wake Forest, NC and Ernestine Taylor of Wilson, NC; one uncle, Mark Jackson (Lisa) of Wilson; four great aunts, Brenda Carol Bland, Linda Snow, Peggy Jones, and Evon Snow all of Wilson, NC; two great uncles, Willie Snow of New Bern, NC and Daniel Snow of Raleigh, NC; a very special cousin, Shakisha Alston of Wilson; a very special friend, Kyoneita Barnes; a host of devoted cousins (too many to mention), nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

A public viewing will be Saturday from 4 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home 726 S. Tarboro St., Wilson. The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 1 pm on Sunday in preparation for the funeral procession.
