Herbert Lee Barnes

Mr. Herbert Lee Barnes, age 78, of 2109 Shamrock Drive E, Wilson, North Carolina transitioned to eternal rest on Friday, November 17, 2023.  Funeral service will be Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 1 pm at Evening Light Holiness Church, 208 Pender St. S, Wilson, NC.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes St., Wilson, NC.

A public viewing will be Sat., Dec. 2, 2023 from 12 pm to 1 pm at Evening Light Church.  The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 12 pm on Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.  Please remember the Barnes family in your prayers.

Precious memories are forever cherished by his loving wife of 31 years, Innette Joyner Barnes of the home; two daughters, Lisa Bell Robinson (Jessie) of Wilson, NC and Angela Burdette Barnes of Raleigh, NC; one son, Herbert Lee Barnes, II of Wilson, NC; two stepsons, Harold Joyner (Karen) of Upper Marlboro, MD and Kevin Joyner (Marsha) of Temple Hill, MD; his brother, Dempsey Barnes (Marsha) of District Heights, MD; his sisters, Julia Renfrow (Johnnie) of Wilson, NC, Thelma Simms of Glen Burnie, MD, Annette Barnes of Richmond, VA and Hattie Gurley of Cario, GA;  nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, six step grandchildren, a host of other relatives, and friends.
