Henry "Roy" Coleman

Mr. Henry “Roy” Coleman, age 82, of 6379 Radio Tower Road, Wilson, transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, October 4, 2020. A celebration of his life and legacy will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Atkins Memorial Tabernacle, 6740 Rock Ridge Sims Road, Sims. The Rev. Otis Finch will be the eulogist. Interment will follow in the Coleman Family Cemetery, Wilson.

Loving memories are forever cherished by his wife, Barbara Ann Kent Coleman of the home; his daughters, JoAnn Wood (Ray) of Sims and Teresa Joyner (Herman) of Wilson; his sons, Ricky Coleman (Biona) of Sims, Frederick Coleman (Crystal) of Wilson, Derrick Coleman (Sheila) and Joe Coleman (Tammy) of Kenly; one sister, Mattie Mae Coleman of Wilson; one brother, Jesse Coleman of Wilson; 23 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A public viewing will be held from  4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at Carrons Funeral Home, 726 South Tarboro Street, Wilson. The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at noon on Thursday in preparation for the funeral procession.
