Evangelist Cleo Ward Suggs, age 86, of Baltimore, MD formerly of Greene County, NC transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 10, 2019. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1 pm at Leventon Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 7542 NC Highway 58, Stantonsburg, North Carolina. The Rev. George Ward will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Delight Cemetery, Walstonburg, North Carolina.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melonese Suggs Dickerson of Baltimore, MD; one sister-in-law, Bettye Ward of Baltimore, MD; one brother-in-law, Robert Williams of Baltimore, MD; her nieces, Melonese"Nina" Williams, Korrin Williams, Julia Farmer (Larry), JoAnn John (Herbert), Cynthia Ward, Phyllis Ward, Phyllis Horne (William) and Wanda Suggs; her nephews, James O. Ward, Jr., Henry Lee Ward, Jr., Dennis Ward, Wesley D. Williams, Pastor George Ward (Linda), Robert "Tank" Williams, Corlando "Larry" Williams; her caregiver, Annette Ross; a host of great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm at Carrons Funeral Home 325 East Nash St., Wilson. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon to 1 pm at Leventon Chapel Church and at other times at 2414 Trull St., Wilson where they will assemble at 11 am on Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.
