Mr. Elijah Tomlin, Jr., age 74, of 3803 Irene Dr., Wilson was called to eternal rest on Friday, June 22, 2018. Elijah was the son of Elijah Tomlin, Sr. and Betty Mae Barnes Tomlin.
A homegoing celebration will be held Friday at 1 pm at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church 704 Gay St., Wilson. Pastor Tommy Wiley will delier the eulogy, and Elder Douglas Barnes will preside. Interment will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden.
Loving memories are cherished by his wife, Carrie Tomlin of Wilson, NC; his daughters, Roxanne Wiley (Pastor Tommy), Lena Martin (Tim) and Katherine Bailey (JC) all of Wilson, NC; two sisters, Bettie Farmer and Florence McNeil both of Wilson, NC; one brother, Charles Barnes (Frances) of Brooklyn, NY; two grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there at 12 noon on Friday in preparation for the funeral procession. The family desire your prayers in the days and weeks to come.
