Elder Roderick "Artie" Livingston Henfield

Elder Roderick Livingston Henfield age 60 of 702 Rountree St, Wilson passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. A service of triumph will be held Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 2 pm at Simon Grove Holiness Church 4334 Highway 42 East, Wilson, North Carolina. Bishop Herbert Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Elder Henfield was a faithful and dedicated member of Simon Grove Church where he served in many capacities. He was an associate minister and a member of the Mass Choir.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Bobbie Jean Newkirk Henfield of the home; his mother, Elder Mable Bradman Henfield; a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Saturday from 1 pm to 5 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. the family will receive friends Saturday from 7 pm to 8 pm at Simon Grove Church. They will receive friends at other times at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
