Dorothy Lee Leach Jones

Ms. Dorothy Lee Leach Jones, age 68, of Wilson, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021.  Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 pm at Tabernacle Temple of Jesus Christ, 1605 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson. Bishop Katie Farmer will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. 

Precious memories are cherished by her eleven children, nine daughters, Melissa Leach, Alisha Carlton ( Kenneth), Latasha Jones, Juanita Jones, Kandee Vereen, Manuela Vereen, Dominga Vereen Erica Vereen, and Allison Acuna; three sons, Shawn Lamont Jones (Latoya), David Acuna and Herbert Barnes; children’s father, Neal Jones; five god daughters, Nikia Sharpe-Henry, Topeka Cherry, Valarie Artis, Patricia Cox-Whitley and Teresa Lucas, all of Wilson, NC; three sisters, Linda Leach, Carla Swain, both of Wilson, NC, De. Juliette Sherman of Kansas City, MO; three sisters-in-law, Peaches Brown, Rosetta Jones both of Wilson, NC, Patricia Leach of Washington, DC; god sisters, Janet Batts and Diane Lewis; one brother-in-law and a dear friend, Luther Rogers, Jr.; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends including a very special/close nephew, Jerry Wingate, and a dear friend, Mr. Ronald Rogers, three longtime neighborhood sisters, Janet Batts, Diane Lewis and Brenda Gaskins.

A public viewing will be Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home, 726 South Tarboro Street, Wilson. The family is receiving friends at 504 Minchew Street, Wilson and will assemble there at 1 pm on Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.  Condolences may be directed to www.carronsfunerahome.com or faxed to 252.237.0120.
