Ms. Dorothy Jean Batts Barnes, age 72, of 4640 Ward Blvd., Apt. C, Wilson was called from labor the reward on Thursday, March 21, 2019. A homegoing celebration will be held Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2 pm at Simon Grove Holy Church, 4334 NC Highway 42 East, Wilson. Bishop Herbert Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
A viewing will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home, 325 East Nash Street, Wilson. The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 1 pm on Sunday in preparation for the funeral procession.
