Deacon Sigmon Lee Farmer

Deacon Sigmon Lee "Buddy" Farmer, age 72, of 506 Woodard St., Wilson transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020.  A celebration of his life and work will be Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 12 noon at Evening Light Holiness Church, 208 South Pender Street, Wilson.  Bishop Robert Earl Daniels will officiate.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife, Bishop Katie M. Farmer of the home; one daughter, Crystal L. Rogers of Wilson, NC; two sons, Sigmon L. Farmer (Dokeania) of Knightdale, NC and Boris Farmer (Rosa) of Wilson, NC; six sisters, Mary Ford (E.C.), Minnie Hinnant (James), Linda McCall (Tommy), Ruby Farmer, Doris Farmer, and Martha Farmer all of Wilson, NC; two brothers, Ronnie Farmer (Sue) of St. Louis, MO and Robert Farmer (Melissa) of Wilson, NC; one aunt, Bessie Mae Barnes of Wilson, NC; eight grandchildren, Sigmon L. Farmer L. Farmer, III (Kendra) of Jacksonville, AR, John Farmer of Jacksonville, FL, Brooklyn Danner (Dorian) of Raleigh, NC, Damian Farmer of Savannah, GA, Brandon Farmer of Richmond, CA, Tim Applewhite, Jessica Farmer and Jahniya Farmer all of Wilson, NC; three great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

A public viewing will be Friday, November 13, 2020 from 3 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home, 726 South Tarboro Street, Wilson with an inspirational wake there from 6 pm to 7 pm.  The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 11 am on Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.  Please keep the Farmer family in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.  Condolences may be directed to carronsfuneralhome.com or faxed to 252.237.0120.  They may also be emailed to carronsfuneralhome@gmail.com.
