Deacon Lesly Farmer, Jr.

Deacon Lesly Farmer, Jr., age 87, of 703 Bruton Circle, Wilson was called from labor to reward on Saturday, April 27, 2019.  A celebration of his life and legacy will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 1 pm at Barnes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1004 Railroad Street, Wilson.  The Rev. Steven Kent will deliver the eulogy, and Rev. James Lucas will preside.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Loving memories are forever cherished by his wife, Velma farmer of the home; his son, Leslie Farmer, III (Amy) of Carterville, GA; two children whom he reared as his own, Frank Weaver (Gwendolyn) and Charlene Coley of Wilson, NC; four grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday, May 3, 2019 from 4 pm to 8:30 pm at Carrons Funeral Home, 325 East Nash Street, Wilson with an inspirational wake there from 7 pm to 8 pm.  The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 12 noon on Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.  Please remember the Farmer Family during their hours of bereavement.  Condolences may be directed to carronsfuneralhome.com or faxed to 252.237.0120.  They may also be emailed to carronsfuneralhome@gmail.com.
