David Lee Lucas

Mr. David Lee "Dave" Lucas, age 72, of 1615 Freeman St. Wilson, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.  Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 1 pm at the Robert King, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Carrons Funeral Home, 726 South Tarboro Street, Wilson.  The Rev. Jerome Fraise will officiate.  Interment will be Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 10 am at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Goldsboro. 

Dave leaves many wonderful memories behind to his two sons, Donald Ray Israel and David Lucas, Jr. and one daughter, Kisa Ann Lucas all of Wilson, NC. He is also survived by six sisters all of Wilson, NC: Ella Ward (Thomas), Mollie Ann Edwards, Dolleen Sanders, Shirley Sanders, Linda Spells (Dennis), and Denise Jarmon (Larry); two brothers of Wilson, NC:  Thyrone Sanders and Dennis Sanders (Jeanne); eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, close friends, The Freeman Street Crew and Dorie May, a special family friend.

A public viewing will be Monday from 3 pm to 6 pm at Carrons Funeral Home.  The family is receiving friends at the 1701 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson.  They will assemble at Carrons Funeral Home at 12:15 pm on Tuesday in preparation for the funeral procession.  Condolences may be directed to www.carronsfuneralhome.com or faxed to 252.237.0120.  They may also be sent via email to carronsfuneralhome@gmail.com.  Please remember the Lucas family in your thoughts and prayers.
