David Lee Barnes, Jr. age 64 of 1000 Goldsboro St, Wilson, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Avante' Nursing Home of Wilson. David was the son of David Lee and Nannie Mae Knight Barnes.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 am at Simon Grove Holy Church 4334 NC Highway 42 East, Wilson, NC. Bishop Herbert Williams, Jr. will be the eulogist, and Bishop Donald Batts will preside. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
A viewing will be held Friday from 6 pm to 8:30 pm at Carrons Funeral Home with the family receiving friends there from 7 pm to 8 pm. They will receive friends at other times at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
