Charlie Blount

Mr. Charlie Blount, age 81, of 9316 Tar River Church Road, Wilson was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, April 25, 2018. Charlie was the son of the late Cephus Blount and Flossie Manning Blount.  He was a member of the Rock Island Singers of Fountain, NC.

A celebration of his life and work will be held 1 pm Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Carrons Funeral Home, 325 East Nash Street, Wilson.  The Rev. Wesley Blount, Jr. will be the eulogist, and Rev. J.B. Woodhouse will preside.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Loving and lasting memories are cherished by his wife, Saundra F. Blount of the home; his daughters, LaTonia Wilson (Eric) of Charleston, SC and Juanita Pitt of Greenville, NC; his stepson, James Selwyn Silver (Monica) of Wilson, NC; two sisters, Dorothy Winters and Marie Hardy of Richmond, VA; three brothers, David Lee Blount (Carolyn), Wesley Blount (Thelma) of Baltimore, MD and Willie Blount of Richmond, VA; six grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 from 3 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there at 12 noon on Tuesday in preparation for the funeral procession.
