Bettie Lou Speight Bullock

Ms. Bettie Lou Speight Bullock, age 79, of 2221 Imperial Ave., Wilson was called from labor to reward on Saturday, July 14, 2018.  Bettie Lou also affectionately known as "Bet" was the daughter of Doll Speight and Lula Mae Barnes Speight.  

A celebration of her life and legacy will be held Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11 am at St. John AME Zion Church, 119 North Pender St., Wilson.  Bishop Staccato Powell will officiate.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. 

A viewing will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home 325 East Nash St., Wilson.  The family will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there at 10 am on Friday in preparation for the funeral procession. 

Loving memories are forever cherished by her sons, Tony Larue Bullock, Sr. of Wilson, NC and Victor Lamonte Bullock, Sr. of Baltimore, MD; her daughter, Sybil Denise Cooper of Wilson, NC; her dear beloved and devoted companion, "Snowball" of the home; one sister, Sherian McKinnon James of Wilson, NC; one brother, Donald Edward "Cheko" Speight of Washington, DC; an adopted sister, Willie Genora Daley of Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren, Latisha Monique "Mona" Bullock Thompson of Waldorf, MD, Toni Alexis "T.T." Bullock of Hyattsville, MD, Tony Larue "T.J." Bullock, Jr. Hyattsville, MD, Nicholas Bullock of Elizabethtown, NC, Jullian Bullock and Victor Lamonte Bullock, Jr. of Wilson, NC; three great grandchildren, Zipporah Briggs of Wilson, NC, Kitai Idris Parham and Kimora E'ulyssa Parham of Hyattsville, MD; one aunt, Daisy Barnes of Wilson, NC  a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
