Bernice Hayes Best

Ms. Bernice Hayes Best, age 70, of 1816-C Butterfield Lane, Wilson was called to eternal rest on Thursday, February 21, 2019.  Funeral service will be held Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2 pm at Rountree Missionary Baptist Church, 2110 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway. The Rev. Steven Kent will officiate.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. 

She is survived by her son, Terry Best of Wilson, NC; five sisters, Diane Faison (Larry), Rev. Debbie Hayes, Tammy Hayes, Annette Hayes all of Wilson, NC and Janice H. Johnson of Rock Hill, SC; three brothers, Donnie Hayes (Lori), Elton Hayes (Faye) both of Sharpsburg, NC and Charles Hayes of Rocky Mt., NC; her granddaughter, Quanisha Best of Wilson, NC; one aunt, Willie Mae Reid of Wilson, NC; a very special nephew, Staff Sgt. Michael Hayes of Hope Mills, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 5 pm to 8:30 pm at Carrons Funeral Home, 325 East Nash St., Wilson with an inspirational wake from 7 pm to 8 pm. The family is receiving friends at 505-C College Street, Wilson and will assemble there at 1 pm on Sunday in preparation for the funeral procession.
