Bernetha Pettiford Morgan

Mrs. Bernetha Pettiford Morgan, age 92, of 4124 Wiggins Mill Road, Wilson transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.  Funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, March 20, 2020 in the Robert King, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Carrons Funeral Home, 726 Southwest Tarboro Street, Wilson, North Carolina.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband, James "JB" Morgan; three children, Marvan Pettiford (Bertha) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Vera Chatman (James) of Nashville, TN and Patricia Ware (Bradley) of Alexandria, Virginia; three stepchildren, Alton Morgan (Joyce) of Warminster, PA, Thelma Singleton of Washingtonville, NY and Mercedes (Lewis Cash) of Washingtonville, NY; six grandchildren,  six  great grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie Turner (George) and Doris P. Cox; four brothers, Robert Thomas Pettiford, George Pettiford (Freida), Wilbert Pettiford (Janice) and  Wilkie Pettiford (Verneva); and a host of other family and friends.

A viewing will be held Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home.  The family will be receiving friends from 12 pm to 1 pm on Friday, March 20, 2020 at Carrons Funeral Home.  They will receive friends at other times at the residence and will assemble there at 11 am on Friday in preparation for the funeral procession.
