Benson Newton Barnes, Jr.

Master Sergeant Benson Newton Barnes, Jr., age 68, of Charleston, South Carolina formerly of Wilson transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, October 20, 2019.  A homegoing service will be held Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10 am at the Leroy W. Hilton Memorial Chapel of The Low Country Mortuary, Charleston, SC.  Interment will follow in the Beaufort National Cemetery.

Loving memories are cherished by his wife, Jocelyn Barnes; his children, Kimm, Kenya, Jocelyn G. (Steven), Tookie, Brandon, Benson and Larry; his siblings, Lenda Winstead (Roy), Brenda Kirby (Este) and Kimberly Merritt (Calvin); a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 6 pm to 8 pm at The Lowcountry Mortuary.  Please remember the Barnes family in prayer during this most difficult time.  Arrangements are being handled by The Lowcountry Mortuary.  Local announcement made by Carrons Funeral Home, "The Willing Friend".
