Arlene Ward Woodard

Arlene Ward Woodard, age 81, of 5030 White Oak Loop Rd., Wilson was called to eternal rest on Sunday, November 19, 2017. Arlene was the daughter of William Frank Ward and Dora Barnes Ward.
A celebration of her life and legacy will be held 2 pm Sunday, November 26, 2017 at L. N. Forbes OFWB Tabernacle 1800 Lane St., Ext. Wilson. Bishop Willie Thomas will be the eulogist, and Elder Mae Farmer will be the presider. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by her sons, Sheriff Calvin Woodard, Jr. (Cherie) and Bobby Richardson both of Wilson, William Richardson of Pittsburgh, PA and Willie Richardson, Jr. of Little Rock, AR; three daughters, Calandra Woodard of the home, Charlene Falls and Josephine Barnes (Eddie) of Wilson; two sisters, Doretha Kent Jones (Eddie) and Naomi Ward both of Wilson; seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, eight nieces, sixteen nephews, a special daughter, Davonnya Phelps of Wilson; a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 1 pm to 3 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. An inspirational wake will be held at St. Luke Free Will Baptist Church 311 Church St., Stantonsburg, NC Saturday from 4 pm to 5:30 pm. The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 1 pm on Sunday in preparation for the funeral procession.
